Where: (2 mile walk) beginning at Margaret Wong & Associates (3150 Chester Avenue, Cleveland) and concluding at the Korean American Association of Greater Cleveland (1541 E. 38th Street, #A, Cleveland)
Why: An opportunity for the mayor, community leaders, neighbors, merchants, and others to see the emergence of AsiaTown (Midtown Cleveland) as a vital neighborhood and community.
ASIA is please to be an active and integral member of The Supporting Partnerships to Assure Ready Kids (SPARK), a Sisters of Charity Foundation of Canton program, which in Summit County is led by Summit Education Initiative (SEI, www.seisummit.org), to address kindergarten readiness.
For its role, ASIA is providing the bilingual and bicultural access to help SEI pilot SPARK with Burmese Mon people (for further information, see page 5 in SPARK 2010 Spring Newsletter – click here). Additionally, ASIA will partner with SEI to develop language and culturally appropriate SPARK materials for Spanish-speaking children and their families in Summit County, which is generously supported by PNC.

Ohio's first-ever AAPI Legislative Day was held in the Main Atrium of the Statehouse in Columbus. More than 350 AAPIs from across Ohio came together to understand their collective power and learn about each other's communities and the importance of political engagement.
