ReImagining Cleveland, a sustainable agriculture initiative launched in 2008 by Neighborhood Progress Inc. (NPI) is featured in the National Housing Institute’s online journal. ASIA is one of 56 projects funded by NPI and is starting a community garden on E 45th Street in AsiaTown.

ASIA is pleased to announce a grant award from the Dominion Foundation. The award will help support ASIA’s International Community Empowerment Program (ICEP) in Akron. ICEP is ASIA’s oldest program and serves roughly 60 students K-12 from diverse backgrounds. The prevention program aims to defer the onset of violence, alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use in youth.
Dominion has recently awarded over $2 million in aid to homeless and families in need. Read their press release here.

The Cuyahoga County Department of Senior and Adult Services has provided generous support for senior transportation services.
The Giving Back Gang supported ASIA’s new farming program to build farming capital for refugee adults.

The Gay Community Endowment Fund has awarded grant funding to kick start ASIA’s HIV/AIDS prevention program with Asian and Pacific Islander community in Summit County. The purpose of HIV/AIDS Prevention Program for Asian Americans (HIPP) is to build ASIA’s capacity to develop culturally competent HIV/AIDS prevention programs for Asian Americans in Summit County. ASIA will be collaborating with Summit County’s Community AIDS Network to provide HIV testing and counseling for the API clientele that will be reached through our workshops. Ohio's first-ever AAPI Legislative Day was held in the Main Atrium of the Statehouse in Columbus. More than 350 AAPIs from across Ohio came together to understand their collective power and learn about each other's communities and the importance of political engagement.
