Golden Bridges

In participation with the Cleveland Foundation's Successful Aging Initiative campaign, ASIA has launched the Golden Bridges Elder Engagement Program. The project seeks to engage older adults in the future development of their communities through their unique skills, talent, and abilities. This connection will further fulfill their sense of productivity and peer fellowship and celebrate their cultural experiences in a more culturally conscious nation.

Project outcomes include the following:

• Engage Asian elders as workforce capital in Cleveland
  
  

• Utilize Asian elders in becoming cultural and linguistic brokers in
  communities for purpose of cultural awareness and increased sensitivity
  
  

• Help bridge language and service gaps in service delivery

In today's diverse communities, we must not overlook this population's cultural the fine cultural resources and abilities of this population (among other ethnic elderly) and can serve as assets in the development of a more culturally conscious nation.
