ICEP is a prevention program funded by ODADAS. Its goal is to educate and empower youth and their families from Asian and other emerging communities in Summit County to make healthy life choices related to violence, alcohol, tobacco and other drug use. ICEP serves approximately 250 children and 125 adults every year. This is ASIA’s oldest program.
Project READY
Beginning in 2009, the goal of this program is to prepare low-English proficient pre-school immigrant and refugee children in Summit county for successful entry into kindergarten.
The Lantern Project
The Lantern Project provides meaningful learning opportunities and mentoring for AAPI youth in grades 8 – 12. Through these opportunities, critical thinking skills are enhanced for the purpose of preparing these youth for the working world and higher education, as well as to begin to engage them in civic life.
