Childhood Lead Prevention and Screening
The Asian Health Access Initiative (AHAI) is focused on removing language and cultural barriers to existing programs and services available in the broader community, in this case, childhood lead prevention and screening. The project will train bilingual community health workers (CHOWs) who will assist inner-city, low-income families with young children for screening and treatment. The program is a partnership with the Cuyahoga County Board of Health and is partially funded by the Mt. Sinai Health Care Foundation.
