Ohio Benefits Banks

The Ohio Benefit Bank (OBB) is a web-based computer program to connect low and moderate-income Ohioans with access to work supports such as tax credits and public benefits.

ASIA works with the Governor’s Office of Faith-Based and Community Initiatives and the Ohio Association of Second Harvest Foodbanks and as part of a faith-based, non-profit, governmental and private-sector partnership.

A Benefit Bank site, our trained counselors help prepare and file federal and Ohio income tax returns at no cost to eligible Ohioans. Free income tax assistance is also available through an online, self-service program.

We also help individual check potential eligibility for other work support benefits such as health care coverage, home energy assistance, child care subsidies, and food stamps at an Ohio Benefit Bank site or online.

If you need additional information about tax and benefits assistance and would like to schedule an appointment, (Cleveland) Susan Wong (susan.wong@asiainc-ohio.org) and (Akron) Mao Vue (mao.vue@asiainc-ohio.org).

  • June 8 Legislative Day

Ohio's first-ever AAPI Legislative Day was held in the Main Atrium of the Statehouse in Columbus. More than 350 AAPIs from across Ohio came together to understand their collective power and learn about each other's communities and the importance of political engagement.

See our webpage dedicated to photos, video and stories from this historic day.
