Voter registration and education
In 2008, ASIA formally began non-partisan voter mobilization and voter education efforts. Funding was made available by Asian Pacific American Labor Alliance and State Voices – Ohio. Over 60% of foreign born Americans in the region are Limited English Proficient (LEP). Due to language challenges, many of them, especially older adults, may not be fully aware of their voting rights. Below are valuable language specific resources that provide basic information on how to vote and what kind of accommodations one is entitled to in order to exercise their right to vote as an American.
